Information you provide

When you create an account, book a consultation, or communicate with us, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, and details about your student. Parents may also provide information about their child's academic situation, goals, and challenges.

Information collected automatically

When you use our platform, we automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and the time and date of your visits. This information helps us maintain and improve the platform.

Session and academic data

As part of our service, we collect and store session notes, progress records, homework assignments, and other academic information generated during the course of mentorship.

How We Use Your Information

To deliver our services

We use your information to provide academic mentorship services, match students with mentors, schedule sessions, share session notes, and facilitate communication between students, parents, and mentors.

To communicate with you

We use your contact information to send session reminders, progress updates, invoices, and important account notifications. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

To improve our platform

We analyze usage data to understand how our platform is used and to make improvements that benefit students and families. This analysis is conducted in aggregate and does not identify individual users.

Sharing of Information

Within the Classr platform

Session notes and academic progress information are shared between the student, their parent or guardian, and their assigned mentor. This sharing is integral to the service and cannot be opted out of while using the platform.

Third-party service providers

We work with carefully selected third-party providers to operate our platform, process payments, and deliver communications. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and may not use it for any purpose other than providing services to Classr.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of our users.

We do not sell your data

Classr does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

Active accounts

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow you to reactivate your account or to resolve disputes.

Deletion requests

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at privacy@iclassr.com. We will delete your information within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.
